These healthy baked donuts are soft and fluffy, with a delicate hint of vanilla from the batter. They’re made without any refined white sugar, making them a healthier alternative to store-bought, deep-fried donuts. Enjoy them plain or topped with your favorite glaze for an extra-special treat.

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350℉ / 180℃.
In a bowl, mix the eggs, maple syrup, avocado oil, vanilla and milk until all combined.
Add the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix with a whisk until you have a thin batter (similar to pancake batter).
Add the batter to the donut case using a quarter cup or a piping bag. Leave about a finger space at the top for the donuts to rise.
Bake for 12-15 minutes. The top should be light brown and the top is firm to touch.
Let the baked donuts cool for 5 minutes before carefully transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
To make my strawberry glaze, grind two tablespoons of dried strawberries using a pestle and mortar. Mix with ¼ cup of honey, then dip the baked donuts into the glaze and serve.Keep in mind that this glaze does not thicken or set. If left on the donuts for a day, it will soak in and lose its shine. I recommend glazing the donuts just before serving if you don’t plan to eat them soon after.
Freeze the baked donuts before glazing. You can freeze them for up to 2 months.
If using a silicone donut pan, you can add the batter directly to each case. If using a metal donut pan, I recommend lightly spraying it with oil to make it easier to remove the donuts once baked.
