I'm Julia Droulia and I'm a mom of two, a baby boy, Alex and a preschooler Artemis. I'm originally from Greece, where I have spent most of my adult life. In my early 30s I decided to move to the UK where I met my husband and had my two kids. But life had more surprises and adventures for us. In 2023, we moved to California for my husband's work and now we've been enjoying the nice weather, new life and challenges here.
It seems ages ago when we started solids with Artemis. She is my eldest one, so I knew very little back then about BLW and had to do a lot of research and read some books about it. Introducing solids to both my kids using the baby-led weaning method has been one of the best decisions I've ever made and we loved every little bit of this journey.
Here, I want to share with you my recipes. Healthy bites that the whole family can enjoy with small adjustments, from babies and toddlers to teenagers and adults.
Most of my recipes are easy to make, not requiring any special cooking skills, and nutrient-rich to provide healthy bites for your kids and yourselves. You won't find any recipes with processed sugar or meat. Everything is made with simple, healthy ingredients, from snacks and meals to muffins and cakes.
In the 'serving suggestions' section of each recipe, you can find information on how to serve the food to a child depending on his age and some ideas on what to serve it with. Each recipe also has a section with substitutions or variations to accommodate different diets.
