🔪 Step-by-step Instructions
So get your ingredients ready and let's get started!
01. I start by cutting the watermelon into half-moon slices, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick. If you're using a small watermelon, you can cut it into full rounds of the same thickness.
02. I do the same with the honeydew melon, after removing first the seeds in the middle with a spoon. You could also use cantaloupe melon if you prefer the flavor.

03. With a crinkle cutter, I cut the watermelon slices into fries about a finger size. I leave the green part on, but you could remove it if you prefer. The same goes for the melon slices. They’ll be slightly smaller, as the center with the seeds has been removed.
04. To prepare the dip I like to serve with the watermelon fries, I add Greek yogurt and strawberries to a food processor. I blend for a few seconds, then transfer the sauce to a small bowl for dipping the fruit 'fries'.

🍽 Serving suggestions
Babies 6m-12m: For babies who have just started their solids journey, I recommend cutting the hard bits and make sure there are no seeds left in the melon and watermelon.
Toddlers & Older kids: For all other ages, you could offer the watermelon fries on a platter with a dip in the middle, or add some to their lunchbox for school.
🧰 Storage
If you have any leftover melon & watermelon fries, I recommend storing them in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within 2-3 days.

❓ FAQ
Yes, babies can have watermelon from 6 months old. Cutting it into finger-sized pieces with a crinkle cutter can help them grip it more easily and bring it to their mouth as they develop the skills to hold food.
