These marble chocolate sheet-pan pancakes come together in no time, look fun, and taste absolutely delicious! They’re perfect for kids of all ages, and you can easily adjust the amount of chocolate to suit your little ones’ preferences. Enjoy!

Sheet-pan pancakes are great for when you don't have the time to stand on top of the pan and make the regular ones. You just make the batter, lay it on a sheet pan, add some toppings and straight into the oven.
I’ve shared my berry sheet-pan pancake recipe before, but this time I wanted to make a more indulgent version with chocolate. I used a vanilla batter and mixed cocoa powder into part of it for a rich chocolate flavor. Then I created a fun marble pattern on top and sprinkled some chocolate chips for an extra treat. My kids were so excited when it came out of the oven, they couldn’t wait to try it!

🥘 Ingredients
To make this chocolate sheet-pan pancake, we are going to need all-purpose flour, baking powder, eggs, butter, maple syrup, milk, cocoa powder and optionally some chocolate chips.
- Flour: I’m using all-purpose flour and baking powder as a rising agent.
- Maple Syrup: For sweetness, I like to add 1–2 tablespoons of maple syrup. It’s less processed than white sugar and gives a lovely, natural flavor. You could also use honey if you prefer, or leave it out completely for younger kids.

🔪 Step-by-step Instructions
So get your ingredients ready and let's get started!
01. I start by mixing the wet ingredients in a bowl: eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and melted butter. Using a whisk, I mix everything together until well combined.
02. Then I add the dry ingredients, except from the cocoa powder. I add the flour, baking powder and give it a whisk until the flour is incorporated.

03. I scoop out a bit less than a cup of the batter and transfer it to a small bowl. Then I add the cocoa powder along with a tablespoon of milk to help mix it in smoothly and keep the texture from becoming too thick.
04. I line a baking tray with parchment paper to make cutting the pancakes easier later. Then I pour in the plain batter and spread it evenly to cover the entire bottom of the tray.

05. I spread the chocolate batter around with a spoon. Then, using a pointy knife or a skewer stick, I make the marble pattern by swirling the knife and mixing the two batters.
06. I like to sprinkle some chocolate chips on top for extra flavor and sweetness, but that’s optional. Then I bake the sheet-pan pancake in a preheated oven for 12–15 minutes until it rises and it's firm to touch.

🍽 Serving suggestions
Babies under 12 months: For babies, I like to offer these chocolate sheet-pan pancakes as a little treat without the chocolate chip topping. You can serve them cut into strips or larger squares so they’re easy for little hands to hold.
Toddlers and older kids: For all other ages, you could serve them with some maple syrup or honey on top and some fruits on the side, or just plain as they come out of the oven.
🧰 Storage
We love having these sheet-pan pancakes fresh out of the oven while they’re still warm. If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature and enjoy within 1–2 days. You can reheat them in a pan or microwave for a few seconds until warm.
They also freeze beautifully for up to 2 months. Just let them cool completely, then place a few in a freezer-safe bag with parchment paper between each layer, and pop them in the freezer.

❓ FAQ
With an oven temperature set to 350F, it takes about 13–15 minutes for the sheet pan pancakes to be ready. When you lightly press it with your finger, it should be firm and spring back.
